International internships thanks to Erasmus+

This school year, several students once again had the opportunity to gain international work experience thanks to the funding we receive through Erasmus+. We are particularly proud to have included two additional training programs in the project this year. From now on, students from the Host and Personal Caregiver programs can also participate in an international internship.

A total of 18 students traveled abroad this school year to further develop their skills in an international context.

  • 3 Hotel students, 3 Host students, and 1 Cook student completed a four-week internship in Spain.
  • 1 Cook student went to the Netherlands.
  • 6 Childcare students did an internship in Norway.
  • 2 Personal Caregiver students went to Portugal.
  • 1 Farrier student did an internship in Ireland and 1 in Germany.
The experiences were a great success. Both the students, the teachers, and the internship providers look back very positively on this international collaboration. The students in Norway even made it into the local newspaper. One of our hotel students was given the opportunity to continue working there, and a student from the Host program also received a job offer to work in Belgium.
We would like to express our sincere gratitude to EPOS for their trust in our project, to the teachers who commit with great enthusiasm, to the internship providers for creating a valuable learning environment, and of course to our students who seized this unique opportunity with both hands.
With great enthusiasm, we look forward to the next school year. We hope to further expand our international internships to other programs and thus strengthen international mobility within the opportunities we can offer our students as a CVO.
